I m going to say how to Increase Aircel 2G GPRS browsing and downloading Speed on pc with nokia modem. listen, i m using windows xp and nokia n70. under the tower my distance is about 100 meter. I hv install latest version nokia pc suite. My downloading speed is 30kb per second day. in the night it is 35-40kbps. it is truth. how to get it. see...
Step 1: do not use nokia pc suite. just install it on your pc.
step 2: Go to control panel/network connections/create a new connection/next/connect to the internet/next/set up my connection manually/next/connect using a dial up modem/next/Input ISP name AIRCEL/next/input phone number *99***1#/next/leave blank user name and password/next/now trick add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop/select finish
step 3: Go to network connection/select aircel properties/Click on general tab/select configure/select maximum speed(bps) to 921600 also select hardware futures three boxes and select enable modem speaker and click ok. under option tab select only display progress while connecting box and click ok. Click on security tab and see whether typical settings with allow unsecured password is selected.
Now click on networking tab and click settings and select the three options,
Double click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and
Use this DNS of open DNS as 208.67.222.222 & 208.67.220.220. Now click OK.
step 4: right click on my computer and select manage. Then select device manager and select the modem. Expand it to see the modem. Then just double click on it and select Advanced and put this in extra initialization commands

step 5: log on as Administrator.select start - run - type gpedit.msc- expand "local computer policy"- expand "administrative templates"- expand "network branch"- Highlight the "QoS Packet Scheduler"- on right window double click "limit reservable bandwidth"- on setting tab check the "enabled"- change "Bandwidth limit %" to 0
select ok.

here is setting for IDM. open idm- click setting- select dial up tab- tick "use windows dial up" box- next input or select AIRCEL as connection- click apply. Next go to connection tab.do not select "connection type/speed" leave it blank. select default max.conn.number is 16. click ok and exit 4m idm.
